Tomorrow will be the 7th meeting of my once-a-month-for-a-year afghan crochet class at The Fancy Tiger (ps they've kindly scheduled thier 5th anniversary party for the same day, lucky me!)- which means I'm halfway there! I have completed 6 months of crocheted afghan squares, some more successfully or happily than others... The class started out HUGE- we had to bring in extra chairs- but has dwindled down to 6 or 7 key members. We're getting to know one another, which is fun, and my fabulous friend K brings tasty treats every month. Total win win.
I thought I'd show you May (granny square) and June (puff stitch), mostly because I borrowed my mom's backyard (in between crazy rainstorms) and staged a little photo shoot last weekend...
Tomorrow we're learning the technique to make squares a la Babette Blanket! That's the pattern that started my crochet yearnings years ago... Whee!
