I think I might have mentioned how much I loved the most recent colorway from the Rockin Sock Club. July was the aptly named Firecracker, perhaps one of my fave sock yarn colorways, ever...
The patterns that came with the yarn were gorgeous, and I've already shown you what I did with Dusty Corners (rav link.) Now, I've finished the 2nd pattern- My Heart Beets 4U. The pattern is lovely, not hard to memorize, nor boring to work on. And the heel? SO freaking adorable.
It's a beet! And this yarn colorway was inspired by beets, so...it's adorable and perfect.
My love of this colorway was so huge that I even forgave it for pooling. And for pooling randomly. The first sock pooled oddly and annoyed me. The second sock striped beautifully and pleased me. And I have no clue what made the difference...
But regardless, I do totally love them both.
Now, to wait by the mailbox with eager anticipation for the September club shipment. Am steeling myself for the likelihood that the next colorway will be more "manly"- they've all been pretty girly to date. Which has made me pretty darn happy.
PS Have you peeked at my Ravelry sell/trade page? There's still quite a few choice yarns for sale...
