You've spent all year watching me painstakingly, block by block, work on Annie's Doggie Quilt. The one for her 9th birthday- back on April 23rd. And in the time it would take someone else to grow an entire human being, I have finally managed to finish one quilt. One quilt made up of 40 blocks, each one totally unique and made up on the spot, each one featuring a different dog... One quilt that has made one little girl VERY happy. See?
It went straight from the dryer to the bed, and all just in time- Santa can check it out when he's making his rounds tonight!
In case you don't remember, here was the final version of the (pre-quilted) top:
The back contains all the fabrics from the front, as well as a few I never managed to fit in anywhere else. It's wild and crazy, and really fun.
Thank you to everyone who gave me support or feedback during this crazy long journey, and to everyone who helped to supplement my doggie fabric stash.
Here's hoping each and every one of your Christmasses has a crafty miracle in it!
See you next year!
