And the winners are...
Wait, if I tell you that right off, will you even read the post?
Hmmm... I'll just have to trust you all!
I ran out of time yesterday to have PG and TB pick the winners. So today, with a very very scientific method involving printing out the comments, cutting them apart, folding them into squares, stuffing them in a grocery bag, and asking two (very confused) co-workers to pull out one each, we have chosen our two winners.
Everyone else, thank you so much for sharing your tales of speed/police induced woe! It made me feel much less alone. And guess what- I got to talk to yet another cop yesterday. Although, I signaled her to pull me over on purpose! I was driving the kids back from swim lessons and a crazy-a$$ beyotch was tail-gaiting us like mad. Apparently, I can't win- speed and get busted, drive normally and enrage the crazy woman. She tailgated us for 3 miles- couldn't pass us because EVERYONE was going the safe speed limit. When she finally darted around us, she ran a red light- really ran, not just, oops,-I-didn't-think-it-was-going-to-change-so-fast, and I noticed the SMALL child unsecured in the front passenger seat. So, I got her license plate # but didn't know what to do. I was worried she was going to kill the kid driving like that. Anyway- 1/2 a mile later, we ended up next to a sheriff's car, and we got her to pull over and told her the entire tale... She told me to always feel free to call 911 if someone is driving like a crazy maniac. But never to follow them. I never would have thought to follow them... Wonder how many people do?
Meanwhile, there was sewing over the weekend. The cousin quilt is done! Well, it needs a label, but the quilt itself is done! (And please don't look too closely, as I did the quilting myself super, fast.)
I ended up buying some of the faux-minkee at JoAnn's last week when it was 40% off. It's not as soft as the real stuff, but it'll do. The bumps on the minkee go with the dots on the front so darn well! And I love the green.
I also finished getting the binding on Snakes on a Bed, but, you'll have to wait to see it. It was in the dryer this morning when I left for work. Oh, wait- I MEANT to put it in the dryer. It's still sitting in the washer. Sigh. Well, whenever I manage to remember to dry it, you all will get to see it...
Meanwhile, thanks for playing my speeding-ticket game.
