Well, I finished the top. It may well be the last top I ever finish. I STILL feel like hell. I'm on Day 11. But who's counting? (Cough. Hack.) The sore throat is better. The coughing is improved, but still frequent. And yucky. And the fatigue? Every day by lunch, I fall apart. Which blows, since The Hubby is working nights, nights and more nights. And now that I have finally caved and decided to see a doctor, mine is too busy to see me! Which has never, ever in 5 + years happened. So I had to navigate the evil K@iser system to see some stranger tomorrow. Ugh. But if the evil K@iser stranger gives me drugs, I'll be happy.
But you don't want to hear about that. You want to see the quilt top.
So there it is. Probably crawling with cooties. But, it looks nice. It's very uneven. And lumpy. And will probably be a nightmare to quilt. Which is maybe proof that quilting and evil viruses don't mix. But I'm not ripping a single seam. And, lumpy bumpy or no, it will look damn good in my guest room.
Thanks for all the encouragement on the haircut. You all rock. I still miss his long flowing locks. Sigh. I have a photo of the new hair- he had school photos done 2 days ago Which I am mixed on. The school switched photographers, and the new one is kind of dull, and much much more expen$ive. That said, here's the hair.
SO short (remembering that short is a relative term!) And, let's face it, still kind of girly. It doesn't scream BOY. And, it's a little messy in the photo. I think I am most upset because now, he looks like other kids. Before, his hair was different and special. Which is SO silly. But if he's STILL going to get called a girl, he might as well have the long flowing tresses back, ya know? He liked them I liked them. The world was a happier place. And I didn't have this stupid bug.
